Ben has kept busy creating music for about as long as he can remember. He took up violin as a youngster in Charleston, SC and put in several years of classical training before giving his dad a mild heart attack by quitting lessons and joining a bluegrass band. Ben also discovered his love of singing early on and over the years has performed with a show choir, a chapel choir, and an all-male a cappella group--each with its own unique vibe and special funny outfit. These days, aside from rocking out with TSLC, Ben contributes fiddle, mandolin, and sweet-ass harmonies to his band My Imaginary Friends, and to various local indie acts as gun-for-hire. When not consumed with music or his day job in non-profit event production, Ben's interests tend almost exclusively toward food and drink, including cheap beer, expensive coffee, and really, really, ridiculously good sushi.
